ROPER, Carol A. (Fitzsimmons)
Of Arlington, July 14, 2017. Beloved wife of 53 years to the late William A. “Bill” Roper. Devoted mother of Patricia O’Brien, her husband Lawrence, of Amherst, William Roper, his wife Britta, of Groton and James M. Roper of Peabody. Also survived by 10 loving grandchildren. Dear sister of Jane Fitzsimmons and the late Joseph Fitzsimmons. Further survived by several loving nieces and nephews. Proud elementary school teacher for the Town of Arlington for over 30 years. Funeral from the Keefe Funeral Home, 5 Chestnut St. (adjacent to St. Agnes Church, Rt. 60) ARLINGTON, Friday, July 21st at 9 AM followed by her funeral mass celebrated in St. Agnes Church, 30 Medford St. Arlington at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Thursday 4 thru 8PM. Services will conclude with burial at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Arlington. It has been requested that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to Alliance For Animals, 232 Silver Street, South Boston, MA 02127.
